RL House - Kelapa Gading​

RL House is a 3-storey height residence in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The RL House is designed to be a modern tropical retreat, offering an escape from the heat, hustle and bustle of the city. The design process began by experimenting with simple lines that evolved into a variety of shapes and volumes. Emphasizing balanced architecture, special attention was given to natural light. The living area beauty lies in a void creating a fluid relationship between each level.

A double ceiling enhances spatial quality, improve air circulation and diffuse natural light. The resulting variations in daylight create a soft, shady, and relaxing atmosphere. The exterior is the highlight, featuring an iconic representation of modern tropical style. The use of wood, stone, and steel materials provides a sense of coziness and comfort, making the project a genuine family residence.
